The Shopping Lounge - Terms & Conditions

All goods are sold subject to the Terms & Conditions set out below.

 

Definitions

 In these Terms & Conditions, the following definitions apply :

·          "we "us" "our" means The Shopping Lounge

·          "you" "your" means one of our customers

·          "product" "products" "goods" means all items to be supplied by The Shopping Lounge as specified in the order

 

Orders & Delivery

Orders & delivery are for the UK only - at this present time we cannot accept orders outside of the UK.

Delivery is usually made via First Class Royal Mail with "Recorded Signed For" service to ensure safe delivery.

The standard post & packaging charge is £4.00.

We aim to deliver your Goods within 7 working days from receiving your order. If for any reason, this is going to vary, we will notify you within 48 hours and you have the right to cancel your order.

 

Packaging

All jewellery items will be packaged in tissue paper, a Gift Box and a bubble envelope. 

Bags will be packed in tissue paper & a suitable bubble envelope.

Scarves will be wrapped in tissue paper and a bubble envelope.

Bags of Beads will be packaged in bubble wrap and a suitable bubble envelope or carton.

Mixed orders will be packaged in the best way to protect the items.

 

Payment

Payment is securely processed by PayPal using your PayPal account or credit card. (You do not need your own Paypal account in order to make a payment by credit/debit card)

Basis of Sale

All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.

 

When you confirm your purchase online, you offer to buy the Goods at the price indicated including any delivery charges that apply to your purchase. All orders will be subject to these conditions.

 

When your order has been received, you will be notified soon after you submit your order. Please note that any notification of receipt of an order placed from outside the UK is not valid.

 

Your order becomes binding as soon as we have confirmed receipt, subject to your rights of cancellation.

 

If any of the Products you have ordered are unavailable or should events occur beyond our reasonable control, we reserve the right to cancel your order. In such circumstances we shall let you know as soon as possible.

If your Product is unavailable but we are able to order further stock, we will advise you of the anticipated delivery date - you have the right to cancel your order if the delay is not acceptable to you.

 

We reserve the right to refuse to supply any individual or company.

 

Cancellations Returns & Refunds

 

Cancellations

 You have the right to cancel your order :

 

·          At any time before you receive the Goods ordered, by contacting The Shopping Lounge (details above). If these Goods have already been dispatched when you contact us, you will be advised to return them as detailed below. We will refund any payment that you have already made

 

·          Up to 30 working days from receipt of goods. If you are not satisfied with any of your purchases for whatever reason, simply contact The Shopping Lounge (contact details will accompany all goods) and return any unused item in its original packaging for a full refund or replacement product.

 

 

You are required to return any such cancelled Goods to us within 7 days of the date of cancellation, in their original condition at your cost.

Please ensure you package and label them properly so they are not lost or damaged in transit. The Products will remain your responsibility until we receive them.

 

We cannot be held responsible for non-receipt of returned Goods, so please obtain a Certificate of Posting (free) from your post Office.

 

 

Damaged Goods

Please advise us of any damage to the Goods received immediately, by contacting The Shopping Lounge (details above).

We will be happy to exchange or refund the Goods affected. We may request that your return the damaged Goods, which will be at our cost. Please ensure that you package and label them properly so they are not lost or further damaged in transit.

 

Nothing mentioned in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights in the unlikely event that the Goods do not meet a standard required by law.

 

 

Refunds

We will refund your payment within 30 days of receiving your notification of cancellation.

 

 

Prices

Prices are as published when your order is placed, with an additional post and packaging charge as specified.

We reserve the right to alter the published price at any time.

 

 

Product Colours & Descriptions

Every effort is made to ensure that the Products we supply correspond as closely as possible to the samples shown on the website, but they might not be exactly the same. We regret that no responsibility can be accepted for these slight variations including but not limited to the following :

·          Colour may vary slightly - particularly with the natural materials used in the jewellery

·          Size may vary slightly - particularly with the natural materials used in the jewellery

·          All measurements are approximate

 

Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of colour reproduction - colour may vary in accordance with the settings of your monitor, software or printer.

 

 

Risk

We carry the risk of loss or damage to the Products until you receive them.

The Products will belong to you when you have received them and we have received your payment in full for them.

If you return the Products to us for any reason, they will become our property and be at our risk from the time at which we receive them.

 

 

Privacy

We are committed to complying with the Data Protection Act 1998.

 

We keep your details on file if you have either placed an order with us or have asked to be placed on our newsletter mailing list. If you have given us permission to send you information about our Products, you agree that by doing so, The Shopping Lounge is not in breach of the Telecommunication (Data Protection & Privacy) regulations 1999.

 

We do not sell, share or swap mailing lists with any other company. We will only use your details for the purpose of updating you on your order status or contacting you with information regarding our new collections.

 

You may cancel your newsletter at any time by e-mailing us via the Contact page or calling us on the number above.

 

We will take reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payments secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from our website.

 

 

Consequential Loss

We are not liable for consequential loss.

 

 

General

Every effort is made to ensure that all of the information provided on our website is correct at the time of going online.

 

The law of England and Wales governs these Terms & Conditions and all disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
